BASIC PROPERTIES / CHARACTERISTICS

  • Chlorine dioxide is highly efficient, with strong biological activity, 2.5 times stronger than sodium hypochlorite.
  • Its activity is due to the strong oxidizing capability, and not in chlorination reactions. Furthermore it does not form halogenated byproducts.
  • The biocidal properties are not affected by pH and temperature.
  • Provides complete biofilm destruction preserving the water resource networks in excellent condition.
  • Provides complete and excellent deodorizing disinfectant on solid surfaces and areas.
  • Used by simply dosing systems currently on the market and does not require complicated and complex devices added.
  • It is the only internationally recommended and referenced in the literature for the control and management of Legionella pneumophilla.
  • Compatible with issues disinfection HACCP-ISO 22000 for food safety and hygiene.
  • Approved by the major international organizations FDA, TVO, DWI, EPA.

PROPERTIES/INDICATIONS

Fungicidal, bactericidal, virucidal when activated. Bacteriostatic when used diluted without activation. Has a broad antimicrobial spectrum, fights bacteria, algae, fungi, viruses, as shown in the following table.

INSTRUCTIONS

Disinfection of premises and surfaces (floors, walls, workbenches)

  1. First clean the surface to be disinfected with a suitable detergent and rinse with water.
  2. Bacteriostatic action: Dilute 200 ml DALCO-100 in 10 lt water (concentration disinfectant ClO2: 200 ppm) and apply the solution on the surface with a sponge and floors with simple mop. For workbench solution can be used with simple coating or spray low pressure (up to 2,2 bar). For disinfection properties volume method is used cold mist ULV, (Ultra Low Volume)
  3. Bactericidal action: For activation of DALCO-100 required 40 gr weak acid, such as citric acid in 200 ml DALCO-100. Time required for activation is 15 minutes, so as to appear yellowish tinge and pH to fall in the range of 2.5-3. Then, take the amount of activated 200 ml in 10 lt of water. (Concentration disinfectant ClO2: 200 ppm).
  4. Leave the surface wet for at least 5 minutes.
  5. In food processing areas and when required the direct use of the surface, wash the surface with water and allow to dry.

Disinfection of surfaces and areas to address specific problems (high microbial load)

  1. First clean the surface to be disinfected with a suitable detergent and rinse with water.
  2. Bacteriostatic action: Dilute 500 ml DALCO-100 in 10 lt of water (concentration of disinfectant agent ClO2: 500 ppm) and apply the solution to the surface by the method of cold nebulizer, ulv (Ultra Low Volume).
  3. Bactericidal action: For activation of DALCO-100 required 100 gr weak acid, such as citric acid in 500 ml DALCO-100. Time required for activation is 15 minutes, so as to appear yellowish tinge and pH to fall in the range of 2.5-3. Then, take the amount of activated 500 ml in 10 lt of water. (Concentration disinfectant ClO2: 500 ppm).
  4. Let stand for at least 10 minutes.
  5. Finally rinse the surface with drinking water and leave them to air dry.

Disinfection of utensils, equipment in food processing areas and health importance.

  1. First clean the utensils with a suitable detergent and rinse with water.
  2. Bacteriostatic action: Dilute 100 ml DALCO-100 in 10 lt of water (concentration of disinfectant agent ClO2: 100 ppm) and apply the solution to the process of immersion or spraying on to disinfection utensil or equipment.
  3. Bactericidal action: For activation of DALCO-100 required 20 gr weak acid, such as citric acid in 100 ml DALCO-100. Time required for activation is 15 minutes, so as to appear yellowish tinge and pH to fall in the range of 2.5-3. Then, take the amount of activated 100 ml in 10 lt of water. (Concentration disinfectant ClO2: 100 ppm).
  4. Let stand for at least 5 minutes.
